Gaman

Gamans work directly under Septimus to create games based on community or client needs.

In general, Gamans are responsible for:

  • Working with the gameplay structure established by Septimus and Casimir to craft unique, fantastical board, card, roleplay, video, etc game.

  • Represent and teach real world principles related to needs of the community representative or client.

  • Crafting games and activities for families to play together, with specific roles for the children and each parent.

Gaman Roles

Wircan

A Wircan is responsible for:

  • Creating and crafting assets, code, physical game components, etc that are needed for the specific game portion their team is in charge of creating for the greater game of a client or community representative.

  • Getting original content plans approved by your Chief Agent.

  • Meeting deadlines for project completion, edits, Lorekeeper review, and final submission.

  • Working with Lorekeepers to keep work consistent with Grey Tavern lore.

  • Working with Agents to ensure work is on par with Grey Tavern game style criteria.

  • Promoting work and projects you've completed to the local community.

Wircan’s report directly to an Agent.

Agent (Tier 2)

An Agent is responsible for:

  • Maintaining and updating the library of Grey Tavern games and working with Lore Keepers to make sure it is connected to the correct Planear Dimensions.
  • Assisting on specific game teams to ensure the needs of the client or community representative are met.

  • Assigning, tracking, managing, and reviewing assets, tasks, concepts, etc of individual game team members/teams.

  • Coordinating with Lorekeepers to ensure games are following lore parameters.

  • Leading a team of Wircans.

  • Promoting work and projects you've completed to the local community.

  • Organizing and tracking all games, game components, and game information in a Grey Tavern game library.

Agents report directly to Chief Agents.

Chief Agent (Tier 3)

The Chief Agent is responsible for:

  • Working with Septimus Jack to discover clients or community representatives needs and ideate educational games based on those needs.

  • Coordinating with clients or community representatives.

  • Presenting games, at specific intervals in the game creation process, to clients or community representatives.

  • Working with Lorekeepers to ensure the game, education, and presentation match lore, or low cartography.

  • Working with Septimus to ensure high cartography congruence.

  • Overseeing the organization and recording of game type, realm/dimension/planear dimension type, etc.

  • Crafting and maintaining, through consultation with Septimus Jack, the style, parameters, etc for game creation as a whole.

  • Approving original content plans presented by Agents and Wircans.

  • Promoting work and projects you've completed to the local community.

  • Overseeing the organization and tracking of all Gaman tasks and projects.

  • Overseeing the organization and tracking of Grey Tavern games.

The Chief Agent reports directly to Septimus Jack.

Original Content

Original content includes many things. For Scriveners, it may be stories, bestiary entries, comics, etc. For Gaman, it may be a board, card, video, or other game. For Schemas, it may be digital art, painting, sculpting, etc. For Seamsters, it may be warrior outfits, ball dresses, everyday fantasy wear, etc.

Any imaginative endeavor you present to the head of your organization (ex. Chief Editor for Scriveners), it is approved by them and The Grey Tavern, and is not an assignment given to you by The Grey Tavern is Original Content.

All original content for Gaman must be:

  • Editorially checked by Agents and the Chief Agents.

  • Made in conjunction with a Lorekeeper. 

  • Reviewed for lore continuity after final edits have been completed by the editorial teams.
