Confectioners

Confectioners work directly under Septimus Jack to create sweet treats, portable foods, and other small morsel confections for Grey Tavern patrons to enjoy during their adventures at the Tavern.

All Confectioners are responsible for:

  • Creating at least 2 dozen + (depends on treat type) treats, following the recipes and confectionary guidelines provided by the Grey Tavern.

  • Crafting new recipes, following The Grey Tavern confectionary guidelines.

  • Delivering confectionary treats that are reaching expiration to the community with Grey Tavern invitations.

Also, all Confectioners should know that for every 10 confections made, you can keep 1.

Confectionary Roles

Morsel Makers (Tier 1)

The Morsel Maker is responsible for:

  • Crafting and delivering confection goods for and to The Grey Tavern on their assigned day.

  • Delivering any unconsumed goods you created to the community after 3 days. These must be delivered with a Grey Tavern invitation or informational.

  • Crafting any confection goods that are assigned by Sweets Artisans.

  • Proposing and creating new recipes to the Head Confectionary.

  • Assisting Sweets Artisans organize donated cooking supplies.

  • Promoting work and projects you've completed to the local community.

A Baker reports directly to a Sweets Artisan.

Sweets Artisan (Tier 2)

Sweets Artisans are responsible for:

  • Creating and crafting a certain category of confection goods and delivering it to or making those goods at the Tavern on your assigned day. 

  • Delivering any unconsumed goods you created to the community after 3 days. These must be delivered with a Grey Tavern invitation or informational.

  • Crafting new recipes in your category of specialty. This recipe must be approved by the Head Confectionary before it can be scheduled to be served as a Grey Tavern menu item.

  • Organize the recipes for your specific category and maintain a consistently organized library of these recipes with other Sweets Artisans.

  • Managing Morsel Makers.

  • Responsible for making portable confection treats for community quests or other outings.

  • Organizing donated cooking supplies.

  • Proposing and setting prices for confection goods.

  • Promoting work and projects you've completed to the local community.

Sweets Artisans report directly to the Head Confectionary.

Head Confectionary (Tier 3)

The Head Confectionary is responsible for:

  • Working the Septimus Jack to create, update, and maintain Confectioner guidelines.

  • Approving new recipes made by Sweets Artisans and Morsel Makers.

  • Overseeing the organization of recipes, ingredients, cooking supplies, etc. in conjunction with the Head Baker and Head Mixer.

  • Overseeing that all Confectioners deliver their sweet goods to the community if those goods aren’t consumed after 3 days. These must be delivered with Grey Tavern invitations or informationals.

  • Overseeing the scheduling of all Confectioners– when they are in charge of delivering what baked goods to the Tavern. The current schedule is that 1 Confectioner is scheduled to deliver 2 dozen or more confection goods on Monday before the 2 pm open and 1 other Confectioner is scheduled to deliver 2 dozen or more confection goods on Thursday before the 2 pm open.
    • The 1st Confectioner should deliver their unconsumed goods to the community on Thursday.
    • The 2nd Confectioner should deliver their unconsumed goods to the community on Sunday or Monday.

  • Updating the confectioner portion of the menu for Grey Tavern patrons weekly.

  • Overseeing the delivery, organization, and collection efforts of donated cooking supplies.

  • Managing a pricing guide for confection goods.

  • Promoting work and projects you've completed to the local community.

The Head Confectionary report directly to Septimus Jack.

Original Creations

Original Creations are new baked, confectioned, or mixed food or drink recipes and products that you wish to approve to have put on The Grey Tavern menu.

Any imaginative endeavor you present to the head of your organization (ex. Head Baker for Bakers), it is approved by them, and The Grey Tavern, and is not an assignment given to you by The Grey Tavern is an Original Creation.

All original content for Bakers must be:

  • Reviewed by Pastry Specialist and the Head Baker.

  • Reviewed by Septimus for final approval.
