Hatchling Properties
Balefire Drakes are mischievous and cunning. They are known for snaring others with their mastery of the binding magic known as Pactomancy. There are very few creatures quite as dangerous as a balefire drake in possession of a trove of forbidden pacts.
However, as a hatchling they're just plain cute! They mostly just roll around and occasionally yawn! They'll need plenty of rest, so keep them in an area of low sunlight. Something about the feeling of parchment relaxes them, thus if your hatchling gets fussy, slip em a scroll for them to cling to and it'll snooze for hours.
Just keep them away from financial or legal documents. They have a surprisingly good memory.
