Grey Tavern Guilds
What is a guild?
A guild is a group of individuals within a community that share a similar interest that they enjoy participating in together. Time spent participating in guild activities provide you with experience points that can be used to upgrade your Grey Tavern Character and unlock special achievements and abilities that you can use to affect your Grey Tavern Community.
What Interests Can I Build My Guild Activity Around?
Any single legal interest can be selected as a guild’s shared interest. This interest can be a broad category or a specific interest, but once selected it can’t be changed.
How Do Guilds Affect My Grey Tavern Character?
You can acquire experience points to spend on your character’s skills and abilities by attending and participating in Guild Activities
How Do I Participate In A Guild Activity?
Having a Guild Activity is simple. You must participate with 3 or more members of your guild in the interest your guild centers on with either a Guild Master, Guild Journeyman, or Guild Craftsman present or participating.
How do I Join a Guild?
Guilds are free to join within your Grey Tavern Community Discord Server. Search the available guilds under the “Find A Guild” Category and then request access in the appropriate channel.
How do I Start a Guild
Starting a guild is exciting and fun! It opens up opportunities to bring people in your community together to follow similar interests. It also allows you to expand upon your Adventure Experience within the North Forge Adventure System.
How to start a guild
1st) Select An Interest
First thing you will need is an interest to share with those in your community. This should be something others will enjoy participating in on a weekly to monthly basis. This can be a hobby, game, sport, or skill that you would like to organize activities around. Our requirement for what constitutes a guild is broad for now, but it might change in the future.
For now we require 3 things to qualify an interest:
- A guild’s shared interest must be in good taste. It cannot revolve around any illegal activities or unsavory pass-times.
- Once a guild’s interest is selected, the guild cannot change that interest.
- Guild Interests must follow the basic rules Grey Tavern Discord Server Rules
2nd) Assemble your Guild Team
You must have at least 4 members to form a guild. These starting 4 members will possess pivotal roles within your Guild's Organization, so assemble your team wisely.
Between the 4 starting members, decide who is going to serve as your:
Guild Master: They will serve as the guild's primary leader2
Guild Judicator: The upholder of Grey Tavern Community rules
Guild Journeyman: They will serve as the guild's master's right hand man/woman
Guild Craftsman: Supporting role that allows for a wider spread of guild activities
